Dr. Weinstein received his medical degree at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York and did a general surgical and plastic surgical residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his plastic surgery residency in 1977 and is Board Certified in general and plastic surgery. Currently he is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine and is the present Section Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael, New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Weinstein has been in practice in New Haven, Connecticut since 1977 and has performed missions abroad for the last 15 years, visiting Brazil, Honduras, Colombia, Viet Nam and Thailand.
Ms. Black graduated from the University of Rochester, New York with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Society where she focused on public health and medical anthropology. During her undergraduate studies she lived in northeastern Brazil and researched social health problems. For the past seven years she has been working full-time as the Assistant Director of Camp Fernwood. She is currently completing her Master’s Degree in General and Special Education at Bank Street College of Education, New York City. Ms. Black has been on a mission trip to Thailand and has traveled to many developing countries.
Ms. Crocco graduated from Radford University in Radford, Virginia with a Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing. Since that time, she has been in the operating room at Yale-New Haven Hospital as a staff nurse in 1979, as Assistant Head Nurse of open-heart surgery from 1981 to 1985 and as Charge Nurse from 1985 to present. She has performed 15 missions abroad to operate on children with various anomalies.
Mr. Colwell attended Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in 1973. He then graduated from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts with a Juris Doctorate Degree in 1976. Mr. Colwell is a principal in the law firm of Parrett, Porto, Parese, and Colwell, P.C. in Hamden, Connecticut and is a member of the New Haven County and Bar Association as well as of the Connecticut State and Tax Planning Council. Mr. Colwell has been involved in multiple charitable organizations in the greater New Haven area.
Dr Raker received his medical degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and did his Pediatric residency at NYU Bellevue in New York City. He completed a Neonatology fellowship at Babies Hospital at Columbia University and an Anesthesiology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University and practices at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. Dr Raker has traveled extensively in South America, Central American and South East Asia as a member of many surgical missions.
Ms. Witkins graduated from Quinnipiac College in 1983. Since that time she has worked in the operating room at Yale New Haven Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She has held a variety of positions including but not limited to Cardiac Nurse, Laser Nurse, Charge Nurse of both the in-patient operating room as well as the ambulatory operating room. Sherri started her mission work in 2003 and has participated in 1 to 2 trips per year since that time traveling to many underdeveloped nations worldwide.
Devinder Singh, MD is an assistant professor of surgery (full time) in the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and assistant professor of surgery (part-time) in the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is a board certified plastic surgeon and co-Director of the Kernan Hospital Cleft Palate Clinic in Baltimore, Maryland. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University, and received his medical degree from Columbia University. He then completed a combined general surgery and plastic surgery residency at Yale University.
Martha Lam is the Director of Technology at Lone Pine Capital. She oversees information technology strategy and operations, including planning and execution for global operations for Lone Pine Capital LLC UK and HK.Ms. Lam graduated from New York University in 2001 with a BA in Sociology and Criminology, with a minor in Computer Science. Prior to Lone Pine Capital, Ms. Lam worked as a Nuclear Medicine Research Assistant at New York University Medical Center.
Dr. Chang is a plastic surgeon with a special interest in pediatrics and craniofacial deformity. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard and then attended NYU medical school. After a combined integrated plastic surgery residency at Yale, he completed his craniofacial surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is in practice in the Washington, DC metro area and is a member of the INOVA Fairfax Hospital Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic.
